I'm not a PM candidate, says Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi has ruled out any chance of his becoming the Prime Minister if UPA comes back to power after the upcoming Lok Sabha general elections.

Replying to a tribal youth's query, Rahul said that Manmohan Singh is the Prime Ministerial candidate and would head the government once again, if Congress returns to the Centre.

The son of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi said that he didn't even think of this possibility. When asked about the elections in 2014, the scion of Nehru-Gandhi family said that it was too distant in future to even think about it.

Rahul Gandhi has been on an extensive tour in tribal areas of Gujarat. Several leaders in the Congress are pressing the leadership to project Rahul as the Prime Ministerial candidate. However, he has categorically denied that he is in the race for the post.
