Indians arrested for terror plot in Spain

Several Indians were caught in Spain for an alleged terror plot though some of them may have been caught for forging passports of those involved in the conspiracy.

Sources said that at least one Indian was among those arrested though the figure could be as high as four. Some Pakistanis and Nigerians were also held among the dozen-odd persons arrested today.

Initial reports said that the youths were arrested for falsifying documents and arranging fake papers in connection with terrorism. The raids were conducted in Barcelona and Valencia.

The Indian embassy didn't deny or confirm the reports of arrests.
Spain had witnessed one of the worst terror attacks when commuter trains were bombed in the year 2004.
