Film-maker Prakash Jha is all set to contest the upcoming Parliamentary elections from his home state. He hasn't however revealed which party he intends to join.
Jha, who is well-known for portrayal of Bihar, in his movies like Gangajal and Apharan, is currently shooting another movie, Rajneeti (Politics) in Bhopal in Central India.
Lately several movie personalities have expressed their desire to contest the polls including actor Sanjay Dutt. Speaking to journalists Jha said that he might contest from Bettiah constituency in Bihar.
Jha had once fought election as an independent candidate from Champaran but had lost.
This time he intends to fight it on a party ticket. Jha said that he had good relations with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, Lok Janshakti Party's Ramvilas Paswan and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
