Shahrukh successfully operated for shoulder injury

Bollywood actor and reigning Indian superstar Shahrukh Khan underwent a shoulder surgery at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. The surgery was reported to be successful.

Khan, the leading movie star of Bollywood, was operated by a three-member team of doctors. He was operated for a tear in the muscles of left shoulder, hospital sources said.

After the nearly 2 hr long operation, Dr Sanjay Desai, the head of the doctors team, said that the surgery was a success. He said that the actor will remain in the hospital for the next couple of days.

He had received the injury during a film shooting last year. Shahrukh would return to the sets in a month's time. Earlier, he was operated five years ago when he had a back injury.

Then the surgery was conducted in London. Shahrukh was recently busy promoting his movie Billu Barber. With the Indian Premier League (IPL) ready to kick off, Khan, who owns the Kolkata Knightriders, will be back in the stadium to cheer his team in the multi-million cricket tournament.
