Tata Nano booking to start from April

The much-awaited Tata Nano will finally reach showrooms across the country by March-end and the booking for the car will start in the first week of April.

The car will be finally launched on March 23 and the next month the buyers can start booking at the nearest dealer. An advance amount of Rs 70,000 will have to be deposited for booking the car.

Though the mass production will take sometime in proportion to the huge demand, it is learnt that the car will hit Indian roads in May. The basic Re 1 lakh car that had been promised would cost around Rs 1.2 lakh after taxes and accessories.

The A/C model will cost around Rs 1.35 lakh. Still, the price would be around 40% less than the Maruti 800. Till now Tata Motors has been successful in creating an unprecedented hype about their Lakhtakia car.
