Varun Gandhi accused of distributing cash in Pilibhit

The scion of the Nehru-Gandhi family and a BJP candidate from Pilibhit, Varun, is again in the midst of a controversy for allegedly distributing cash in his constituency.

Varun, who is contesting from Pilibhit Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh (UP) is accused of handing over money to various persons during his election campaign recently.

This is a serious violation of the model code of conduct and has landed him in fresh trouble after the FIR registered against him for delivering an anti-Muslim speech in which he asked for cutting the hands of anybody who raised finger towards Hindus.

He had also allegedly said that he would cut the heads of Muslims and used derogatory word for the community. An inquiry conducted by the district administration has revealed that he indeed gave away cash.

The video footage of his election campaign also shows Varun's supporters handing over envelops to the Sadhus (priests) present on the dais after he left the programme.
