VHP on warpath with Narendra Modi government

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has openly come out against the Narendra Modi-led BJP government, accusing it of tapping the phone calls of the organisation leaders.

The VHP has charged the state government of tapping the telephonic conversations of Pravin Togadia, the international secretary of the Parishad, and other leaders of the RSS.

VHP leaders Dinesh Navadia and Utkarsh Patel have alleged that the Home department was indulging in tapping phones of top VHP and RSS leaders. "It is illegal and unjustifiable", said the duo in a statement today.

The VHP, a militant Hindu organisation, has sought an apology from the government for ordering the police to secretly record the phone conversations. Togadia is a die-hard opponent of Modi.
