BJP leader Kuldeep Varshneya announces Rs 5 lakh reward to cut Kanhaiya's tongue for insulting RSS-Modi

A leader of the youth wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a reward to anyone who cuts the tongue of JNU student leader Kanhaiya.

Kuldeep Varshneya, who was earlier president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in UP, said that Rs 5 lakh would be given to person who will slash Kanhaiya's tongue.

Varshneya said that Kanhaiya had insulted the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and it could not be tolerated. He publicly made the threat that was telecast live on TV.

Stung by the open threat by its member, the BJP took disciplinary action against him. The party said that Varshneya has been expelled from the party for six years. Varshneya is seen in the middle in the photograph above, with a Saffron band.

Besides, a little-known group Purvanchal Sena has put up posters in Delhi. The posters give a call to shoot Kanhaiya Kumar. The JNUSU president has meanwhile been given round-the-clock police protection in view of the threats.
